Times in Transition

If there’s a word to describe the past year and a half (has it really been that long?), it has to be vulnerable. Vulnerable to the ever-changing COVID regulations, to the risk of infection, to a changing work environment and economy. Vulnerable. Yet in a position of vulnerability we can either surrender or adapt - and I think most of us adapted to the circumstances quite well. We swapped the conference room for Zoom and our old routines for new hobbies, all while slowing down after what might’ve been years of haste. So where do we go from here?

Here in New York, it seems as though we’re at the crossroads of pandemic and “normal” life, stuck - albeit blissfully - between working from home and socializing maybe even more than before. Though this return to normalcy is certainly long-awaited and thrilling, I’m hoping that we don’t lose all aspects of our time at home.

I hope we continue to prioritize quality over quantity, whether that be in our personal or professional lives. For the first time in a long time, we were removed from our personal life and forced to look at things on a larger scale. I hope that we hold onto that perspective and use it as a constant reminder that we are fortunate, that there is always someone that has it worse, and that they can use our help.

At The Scribes, a company born in November 2019 and re-born in March  2020, we use this perspective to fuel our mission-driven efforts. For every journal sold, we donate one. Thanks to our customers, more than 10,0000 students have a new journal, and we’re just getting started. We know how good giving back feels and how important it is to stay mindful, especially in the hustle-and-bustle of our everyday lives. That’s why we’ve collaborated with corporate clients to create custom, high-quality journals that highlight the brand and message you wish to share.

Andie Swimwear shared that “as all meetings and communications are online, a reminder to get offline and daydream is more important than ever. I love having a beautiful notebook to remind me to do so.”

Working from home has certainly created distance between employees and their workplace - a physical reminder of where you work and what your company stands for is more important than ever. Purchasing custom journals from The Scribes is a feel good moment for your company, and I’d say a company that integrates giving back into their mission is a company worth supporting!

Another client described our custom journals as having “the customization and quality we strive for, with a feel-good mission behind it. A no-brainer for our team.”

100% of our corporate clients rated us 5/5 for customer service and would purchase from us again.

Our products are great for new and existing employees, recruits, clients, and prospects. Whether you are buying for your global recruiting efforts or employee gifts, we can handle orders of all sizes and ship journals to your office or to individual employees if you continue working from home. Let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll have designs for you within 24 hours. Minimum order quantity is 50 units and shipping is free!

Let’s embrace the change ahead and exchange our vulnerability for compassion. We’re here to help you along the way.
